Ottawa Therapy Dogs
Ottawa Therapy Dogs is a Registered Charitable Organization of volunteers promoting the physical, emotional and communicative well-being of persons by offering a mutually beneficial and safe interaction with registered therapy dogs and their handlers. Programs include Animal Assisted Activities such as therapy dog visits to facilities where residents or clients can benefit from interacting with animals; Animal Assisted Therapy, where the therapy dog team participates in therapy along with a health care professional (such as an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, psychologist, speech-language pathologist, recreation therapist or registered nurse).
