Is your child or teenager experiencing frequent worries, symptoms of depression, lack of motivation or struggling with self-confidence? Are you hoping they will gain new coping strategies to manage difficult emotions? I seek to provide a safe place for children & teens (Ages 6 to 20) to explore feelings of discomfort and improve their overall mental well-being. I am passionate about working with youth presenting with a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, body image, emotion regulation, grief, sexual and gender identity as well as other common concerns children face.
My counselling practice draws on a variety of elements from evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Mindfulness-based therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution focused therapy. Additionally, I enjoy utilizing art as a medium for communication.
I strongly believe in ensuring that your child feels safe, heard, understood, and supported while seeking services with me. My clients often describe me as approachable, easy to talk to, authentic, straightforward, calming and thoughtful. I look forward to chatting with you about your child’s goals and supporting them in their journey to achieve them.
