Mindful Steps Therapy
Private practice (individual)
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with my solo practice called Mindful Steps Therapy. My journey in becoming a therapist has been an interesting path one that often surprises many based off my personal and professional experiences. My unique path, is what informs my care and course of treatment, honouring the whole person in a client-centered approach. Supporting my client’s authentic self in helping to identify their resiliency and increase their core strengths one moment and one session at a time.

Through my own experiences in working in the healthcare system for over 10 years, compassionate care, empathy, and non-judgement are at the core of therapy and are always prioritized. I seek to understand what brings my clients into therapy and meet them where they are at. Being open, curious, and working in the authenticity of the human experience I can creatively walk alongside my clients and support their personal understanding within themselves.

Therapy is a study of oneself and can often be a difficult, emotional, and challenging experience one that shouldn’t have to be explored alone. I meet clients through attuning, emotionally and intuitively meeting where they are at in life through an integrative holistic lens of compassionate care to co-create a safe space to explore, moving at ones’ own pace one step at a time.

In practice I support parents, growing families, adults, and young adults with chronic pain and illnesses, trauma, infertility, pregnancy loss, family planning, post-partum mental health, grief and loss, anxiety related disorders, relational issues, professionals in high-performance and stress jobs, family conflict and big life transitions.

I hold an Honours Degree in Bachelor of Science for Psychology, from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. My training lends itself to somatic therapeutic work from trainings and certificates in Integrative Somatic Therapy Practice (ISTP) Level 1 & 2, Internal Family Systems, ACT, and DBT approaches. I am a certified Perinatal Mental Health therapist through the Postpartum Support International.

I am dedicated to my continuing education and professional development to grow as a clinician and professional in this field, with somatic mindfulness being at the forefront as it is not just a therapy approach it’s a way of living in the moment and healing.

Outside of counselling, I am an avid reader, enjoy Pilates, gentle restorative Yoga, and have a love for playing pickleball.
