Screening Tool: Social Media Use

This survey is designed to provide a quick assessment of whether you might have problems with excessive use of social media. However, no test is 100% accurate. No matter what your score is, you should seek help from a health professional if you have any concerns about yourself or your loved ones.

The questionnaire used here is the Social Media Disorder (SMD) Scale by Dr. Regina van den Eijnden, who has generously granted permission to use her questionnaire online.

During the past year, have you...

4. ... regularly neglected other activities (e.g. hobbies, sport) because you wanted to use social media?
