Sharon is a Clinical, Health, Rehabilitation & Counseling Psychologist. She is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and L’Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. She offers a full range of psychological services with 20 + years of clinical experience. Sharon utilizes a collaborative and integrated treatment approach with her clients, including Evidenced-Based Psychological Treatments. These include the Third Wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) incorporating Mindfulness and Compassion-Based Interventions. In addition, Sharon employs Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback) Treatment as well as Polyvagal-Informed Therapy. Her earlier career as a Registered Nurse provides the foundation for her expertise with mental health challenges.

Sharon welcomes adolescents, adults and seniors with warmth, mindful presence, integrity and compassion within a non judgemental atmosphere. In addition, she has expertise in working with medical and front line health professionals who are experiencing workplace stresses and anxieties including those related to the covid-19 pandemic, depression and burn-out. Sharon has gained an expertise working with the RCMP, Military Members and Veterans.

Sharon is passionate about the growing field of Neuroscience, Mind-Body Medicine and Neurofeedback Treatment. She has completed comprehensive trainings and has gained expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions for stress, symptom and pain management, Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness Therapy (TSM), Mindful Self Compassion Therapy (MSC), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Positive Psychology Interventions for psychological well-being. She has participated in trainings in Polyvagal-Informed Therapy, Somatic Embodiment interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS) as well as Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT). In addition, Sharon completed a certificate in the Foundations of Mindfulness Teacher’s Practicum at The Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic. She is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and has extensive experience facilitating CISM Interventions for small and large groups.

Sharon has completed comprehensive trainings in Neurofeedback Treatment in Clinical Practice in the United States and Canada, including QEEG Brain Mapping and Analysis, Single and Two-Channel Neurofeedback Treatments, LoRETA Z-Score Neurofeedback Treatment and Complexities of Neurofeedback in Developmental Trauma.
