Community Outreach Programs in Addictions
COPA is a Toronto based organization committed to helping Older adults 55 years and over who live with addictions that impact their daily lives. IF the older adult is not able to access main stream programs due to frailty, COPA provides community outreach. Addictions to alcohol, drugs, and other substances are shared by 1 in 10 older adults. Various treatment programs for those who need help which include:

Outreach
Harm-Reduction - designed to reduce the effects of addictions
Referrals & Case Management
Support Groups
Support for those involved with older adults with addiction problems
Assistance for family, partners, and friends
Offsite consultations - education and training for professionals and organizations that work with older adults
Telephone consultations
