Anna is a Registered Social Worker with a Master's of Social Work from York University. She completed her Undergraduate Degree from Trent University in The Creative Arts and Well Being. She is also an Ontario Certified Teacher with experience teaching primary, junior, and intermediate students.
Anna is a certified yoga teacher and uses mindfulness practices and breathing techniques to help clients with managing emotions. She is a queer-identified person and enjoys working with members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
I practice from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. I work with individuals and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, low self-esteem, anger, and communication challenges. For me, Emotionally Focused Therapy provides a clear path through the emotional distress we sometimes experience in relationships with partners, family members and friends. It helps us to cultivate healthy and loving relationships that support our mental health during life challenges and allow us to flourish and thrive. My commitment is to empower clients to cultivate a profound sense of agency in their lives. Through our collaboration, my aim is for you to enhance your emotional mastery and foster problem-solving skills that will positively impact your relationships.
